Your health information is some of the most personal there is — so MedTalk is built around a simple idea: it's yours, it stays with you, and we keep no copy of it. This is privacy-first, PHI-aware design, written here in plain words.
MedTalk helps you turn everyday talk about your medicines, conditions, and symptoms into clear questions for a pharmacist or doctor. To do that well, it needs to understand what you tell it — but it does that without building a record of your health details on our servers.
What this means for you
- On your device first Your recordings, label photos, and personal notes stay on your device. They aren't uploaded to a MedTalk server, and where your phone backs up, it's to your own private iCloud — not to us. If you import medications from Apple Health, that information stays on your device like everything else and is only ever used to prepare your discussion points.
- No cloud store of your health details — ever MedTalk doesn't keep a copy of your medicines, conditions, or symptoms on our servers. When it prepares your questions, it sends only the minimum needed for that one request and keeps nothing afterward.
- Yours to keep or delete You choose what to save, what to share, and what to bring to your visit — and you can delete your information at any time. It's your health information, and you stay in control of it.
- Not medical advice MedTalk prepares discussion points to raise with a pharmacist or doctor. It never diagnoses, never decides what caused a symptom, and never tells you to start, stop, or change a medicine.
We'd rather promise less and keep it than over-claim. If how MedTalk handles your information ever changes in a way that affects this, we'll say so here in the same plain language.
